Job Overview
The SGO currently has an extraordinary opportunity for technology and data operations specialist join the team as the Senior Meetings Manager role. We are looking for an individual to bring their passion and excitement to our fast-paced and ever-changing environment. The successful incumbent will be highly detail orientated, organized, and collaborative while managing multiple projects simultaneously. They will see the big picture and embrace change to ensure they meet their goals and the goals of the SGO and FWC.
The Manager, IT & Operations is responsible for?overseeing the association’s information technology systems and supporting operational infrastructure to ensure efficient, secure, and reliable day-to-day operations. This role serves as the primary liaison between staff and the association’s outsourced IT managed service provider, providing first-level support to staff and coordinating all technology-related services. The Manager, IT & Operations ensures that all hardware, software, and systems align with organizational needs, best practices, and security standards. They personify the SGO/Foundation internal values of Integrity, Excellence, Equity, Innovation, and Communication.
What You Will Do
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT – Serve as the primary point of contact and liaison between staff and the outsourced IT managed service provider. Provide first-level technical support to staff, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues; escalate issues to the managed service provider as appropriate. Oversee all association software and hardware, including assessment, selection and training (including but not limited to Microsoft 365, Zoom, Adobe, file storage systems, email, laptops, use of company software on personal mobile devices, and peripherals). Manage website hosting and SSL certifications through the association’s service provider, ensuring appropriate security controls and coordination of updates or changes. Coordinate onboarding and offboarding of staff, including user accounts, equipment setup, access permissions, and security protocols. Monitor system performance, uptime, and service levels; ensure managed service provider meets contractual and performance expectations. Maintain documentation of systems, processes, licenses, and technology assets. Manage all staff phone lines, necessary licenses, and Microsoft SharePoint organization.
SECURITY, COMPLIANCE, AND RISK MANAGEMENT - Support implementation and adherence to cybersecurity best practices, data privacy standards, and organizational policies. Coordinate security updates, backups, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity efforts with the managed service provider. Assist with compliance requirements relevant to a medical association, including data protection and confidentiality standards.
OPERATIONS AND ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT - Support operational systems and tools used across the organization, including membership databases, learning management systems, financial systems, and collaboration platforms. Collaborate with Senior Manager, Data & Systems on integration between systems and to ensure data integrity across platforms. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through technology enhancements and process improvements. Assist the Senior Director, Finance & Administration with technology-related budgeting, forecasting, vendor management, and contract renewals. Review IT invoices for accuracy and ensure timely payment. Manage inventory of technology assets and coordinate purchasing, replacements, and upgrades to ensure all hardware and software are performing at an optimal level. Work with accounting to ensure assets are properly recorded. Design and deliver training for staff on organizational technology tools, supporting effective adoption and consistent use of systems across the organization.
COLLABORATION AND COMMUNICATION - Act as a trusted resource for staff on technology and operational questions. Translate technical concepts into clear, non-technical language for staff and leadership. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to support organizational initiatives and projects.
The work of the SGO is conducted primarily in a remote office environment with occasional requirements to be onsite for group meetings and events. Travel is required approximately 2-5 days per year.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer competitive salaries commensurate with experience. The hiring range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000 annually. Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, and short- and long-term disability benefits; vacation time, sick time, 11 named holidays and 3 floating holidays, and parental leave.

Requirements for Success
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business administration, operations management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
3–5 years of experience in IT support, IT operations, or systems administration, preferably in a nonprofit, association, or healthcare-related environment.
Experience working with outsourced IT managed service providers.
Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and data privacy requirements.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Zoom, Adobe, and common business software and hardware.
Demonstrated ability to provide first-level technical support and manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
