Position Description
About Opportunity
NACM South Central seeks an experienced, visionary President to serve as the chief executive leader of the organization. Reporting to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors, this role oversees all business operations, drives strategic direction, and ensures the long?term health, reputation, and growth of the association.
The President is responsible for planning, developing, and executing organizational goals in alignment with board directives, bylaws, and the corporate charter. This position holds ultimate accountabilities for all operational functions, including Finance, Information Services, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Human Resources, and Property/Facilities.
Primary Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop, recommend, and execute the strategic plan in partnership with the Board of Directors.
Provide strong, motivating leadership that aligns staff and members with the organization’s mission and long?term goals.
Understand the diverse industries represented by the Association and ensure initiatives benefit the full membership.
Business Development & Innovation
Create, evaluate, and support new business development concepts and initiatives.
Work closely with the Sales team to attract new members and enhance utilization of member products and services.
Present and justify innovative ideas to the Board of Directors with clarity and strategic insight.
Encourage innovation, experimentation, and continuous organizational growth.
Promote and expand educational opportunities for members.
Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with members, staff, board of directors, reporting agencies/resellers, legal counsel, brokers, NACM National, and other NACM affiliates.
Represent the organization professionally and effectively in all internal and external interactions.
Financial Oversight
Review financial statements and activity reports to assess progress toward goals.
Adjust plans and objectives as needed based on economic and organizational conditions.
Oversee the annual budget, expense management, and financial approvals.
Review and approve monthly sales commissions and expenses.
Review the work of third?party auditors to ensure strong internal controls and financial integrity.
Ethics, Compliance & Governance
Uphold the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and confidentiality.
Ensure compliance with bylaws, governing policies, and all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Maintain adherence to accreditation and licensing requirements as applicable.
Additional Responsibilities
Staff Leadership & Development
Evaluate management and staff performance.
Navigate conflicting interests and make decisions that best serve the organization.
Promote ongoing staff training and professional development.
Encourage creative thinking and support the development of a “next?generation” association.
Industry Awareness & External Relations
Monitor external business forces, economic conditions, and customer trends that may impact the organization.
Strengthen industry relationships and partnerships whenever possible.
Member Services & Program Oversight
Develop or oversee programs related to member services, customer support, and education, including classes, seminars, conferences, industry groups, credit reporting, and publications.
Coordinate elections, installations, and annual committee assignments for all NACM Board positions.
Support and collaborate with local CFDD chapters to promote their growth and success.
Property & Facility Oversight
Provide general oversight of the organization’s physical facilities to ensure they remain safe, functional, and well?maintained.
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, or staff for routine maintenance, repairs, or facility?related needs.
Support long?term planning for facility improvements when appropriate.
Inter?Organizational Coordination
Work closely with the Chairperson and Board of Directors to plan business objectives, policies, and budgets.
Coordinate meetings, conferences, and events with staff, members, the Board, CFDD chapters, and other partners.
Collaborate with NACM affiliates nationwide and National as required.
Travel Requirements
Travel periodically on a local and national basis to NACM events, conferences, and seminars.
Maintain a strong commitment to all affiliate and association responsibilities.

10+ years of experience in business operations and organizational management
Strong background in marketing/sales strategy and financial planning preferred.
Proficiency with business software systems and the ability to learn new tools quickly.
