The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) is seeking a Member Programs Manager to lead the charge in energizing our diverse and dynamic member base. In this pivotal role, you’ll be the heartbeat of our member engagement processes—connecting professionals across Regional Chapters, Special Interest Groups, and prestigious Fellowship programs.
As the primary liaison for key member initiatives, you’ll craft innovative engagement experiences, foster lasting relationships, and champion strategies that grow and retain our global community. This position is hybrid with candidates sourced only from Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio and Tennessee, with preference given to candidates in the Indianapolis area.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Regional Chapters
Serve as the point of contact for ACSM Regional Chapters, ensuring alignment with ACSM’s mission and member experience.
Support chapter leadership with planning, Certificates of Insurance, marketing and logistics for meetings, events, and networking opportunities—both virtual and in-person.
Oversee chapter meeting registration and provide access to chapter membership and registration data
Coordinate monthly financial reporting and Annual Report processing.
Coordinate chapter email distribution and brand collateral materials for chapters with marketing team
Coordinate chapter elections.
Run monthly chapter leader huddle and serve as staff liaison for Regional Chapter Committee.
Manage chapter related Annual Meeting activities, including the Student Bowl.
Staff Regional Chapter meetings on as needed basis.
Provide information and general consultations on a variety of chapter management issues (e.g., accounting, meeting management, publications, legal issues, governance issues, etc.).
Foster collaboration between ACSM national and regional leaders to promote best practices, shared resources, and increased member value.
Member Programs and Community Engagement
Serve as primary liaison to ACSM’s Fellows and Special Interest Groups (SIGs) including the Interest Group Forum committee.
Provide support to each SIG, as well as members interested in participating in SIG programs.
Coordinate the SIG Annual Meeting planning process and support on site as needed.
Guide marketing and communications efforts to create and distribute SIG newsletters.
Serve as staff liaison for the Credentials Committee and manage the Fellowship application process and recognition program.
