The Fertilizer Institute (TFI) seeks a candidate who is a self-starter and dynamic team player for its Membership team. Job salary commensurate with an applicant’s experience and qualifications. The successful candidate will report to the Vice President of Membership and serve as a key member of TFI’s Membership team
The Manager of Membership & Sales will be responsible for supporting The Fertilizer Institute’s (TFI) membership and sales, which supports the association’s efforts of creating a strong industry, ensuring a healthy environment, and advocating for productive public policy. The ideal candidate will oversee the organization’s database and will work closely with program leads to identify and execute sales goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Data management and integrity:
Conduct all activities surrounding data integrity of all records, data quality control and quality assurance, updates, upgrades, and maintenance.
Execute member renewals process.
Create queries, reports, and analysis for program leads to make informed decisions.
Develop procedures to monitor, maintain, and improve data quality and data integrity.
Detail-oriented in following SOPs.
Responsible for maintaining and updating all information in the member database.
Provide tactical support implementing strategies to accomplish growth and improvement goals in association management services, business systems optimization, and entrepreneurial operating systems.
Serve as data lead, provide guidance and on-the-job training to team members.
Summarizing technical requirements based on business needs.
Pipeline development and management (identify and track leads from multiple sources).
Develop sales process for dues and non-dues revenue targets (certifications, events, exhibits, sponsorship).
Collaborate with the marketing and communications team.
Executing sales process from prospecting through invoicing.
Support leadership in follow-up, processing, and closing.
Collaborate with program leads in establishing sponsorship and sales targets for programs and events.
Bachelor’s Degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
1-2 years relevant experience in Association management, membership development, sales.
Strong analytical skills with experience using hypotheses-driven problem-solving.
Detail-oriented, with experience in database management and/or pipeline development and tracking.
Customer-service mindset and alignment with TFI’s Cultural Values: member-focused, collaborative, innovative, and respectful.
Proactively engage with current and potential leads through the sales process.
