The Office and HR Coordinator will assist the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with management of the IEDC office as well as assist with some human resources duties.
Location: This position is based in Washington, D.C./ Hybrid

Areas of Responsibility
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Office Management
Maintain office supplies, files, and inventory.
Distribute mail and prepare documents.
Serve as a liaison with all major agency vendors and oversee the quality of services/products provided.
Ensure operation of agency equipment by following a preventative maintenance schedule and calling for repairs, when necessary.
Responds to and resolves administrative inquiries and questions.
Manage conference room calendar & use of office space by members.
Responsible for office front desk and main phone line.
Provide support for IEDC shipping.
Plan and execute all staff meetings.
Monitor Bollinger Foundation email inbox, attend their meetings and support events Help other departments with admin related duties.
Other duties as assigned.
Human Resources
Prepare onboarding/offboarding packages.
Coordinate hiring processes.
Process benefits packages for all new hires to include health/dental/vision, retirement, etc.
Maintain agency insurance policies.
Support short/long term leave request.
Conduct or acquires background checks and employment eligibility verifications.
Maintain and expand knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations affecting human resource management. Identify trends that could affect organizational objectives and operational resources. Interpret appropriate laws and policies and advise management, employees, and retirees accordingly.

Education and Experience
The successful candidate shall possess a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, and at least two-year experience in human resources or office management positions.
Four years of experience in lieu of degree.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods are sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
The ability to operate office equipment requiring continuous or repetitive hand/arm movements.
