This individual will be providing program support and assisting in the overall planning, scheduling, and implantation of the Society’s online education.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Podcasts: You have the opportunity to collaborate and support the Education Manager and Marketing team on the 10 to 15 Podcasts produced a year. SSO Marketing team records and posts the podcast to various external platforms and to SSO’s Learning Management System (LMS- ExpertEd), with editing done outside of SSO.
Communicates with volunteers to disseminate podcast instructions and script templates.
Facilitates completion of script template, ensuring that volunteers have provided necessary promotional information
Apprises Education Manager and Marketing Manager of status.
Tracks progress in Education Department calendar in Excel.
Completes Marketing Brief and sends to Marketing Department once activity has been edited and promotional information is available.
Webinars: SSO produces 30-40 online events a year. These consist primarily of webinars as well as virtual tumor boards (a form of webinar.) This position would work with volunteers to schedule planning calls, practice runs (also called ‘dry runs’) and the actual event. The position would be expected to co-staff these events that primarily take place in the early evening hours (5:00 to 6:00 pm), twice a month.
Uses Doodle to determine best day/time for all calls and events.
Sets up webinars in SSO’s learning management system, ExpertEd.
With direction from Education Manager, completes Marketing Brief and sends to Marketing Department as soon as event has a title, date, and time.
