Associations International (AI) is an association management company based in Lexington, KY, who partners with non-profit trade and career associations like the International Coaching Federation (ICF) in a client-consultant relationship. Our job is to help those non-profits meet their mission and grow their membership through the work of our talented, dedicated team of professionals.
We are currently searching for a Regional Development Director located in Europe to join our ICF team. As the Regional Development Director, you will work across Europe, Middle East, and Africa to support ICF's Professional Coaches Family Organization (ICF PCFO). Through development of regional markets, you will support membership growth, partnerships with volunteer chapter leads, and create a member-centric mindset.
ESSSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop local and regional markets for increasing membership, deepening member engagement, establishing and growing healthy chapter communities.
Maintain/build existing relationships with ICF PCFO stakeholders
Gather marketplace information on the coaching market and competition and utilizes data to contribute to the creation and implementation of regional strategies for sustainable growth, diversification, and to strengthen ICF’s regional presence through the membership and chapter network.
Work closely with ICF PCFO global and regional team members and other ICF staff and senior leaders to identify opportunities to increase the visibility of ICF in partnership with all stakeholders in the region.
Possess a member-centric mindset and partner with volunteer chapter leaders to establish and deliver regional goals and KPIs
Serve as the point person for regional outreach.
Provide fiscal and personnel management, develops effective relationships with stakeholders and positively represents the ICF to external audiences.
Requirements
Experience in association management, membership, chapter operations and/or nonprofit organizations.
experience managing and/or working with virtual teams across different cultures and languages as well as demonstrate an open, inclusive and global mindset.
political acumen and diplomacy when prioritizing competing demands and implementing strategic priorities
Minimum of 5-7 years of professional business/management, association management and or not-for-profit management experience.
Experience conducting market development and providing recommendations for expansion.
Ability to create and drive operational plans.
Experience analyzing membership data and feedback to develop relevant programs.
Experience in remote leadership and managing a virtual team.
Experience working with volunteers, across cultures and time-zones.
Fluent in written and spoken English and preferably proficiency in a second language.
Public speaking experience
Availability for ~35% travel internationally requiring work on some nights and weekends
Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field from an accredited college or university
Comfort with working with C-suite individuals in a professional environment.
