The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International, a trade association representing the commercial real estate industry, seeks an energetic professional to join our busy Education & Meetings division in our downtown Washington, D.C. office, near Metro. The Education Coordinator is responsible for supporting the development and delivery of BOMA's professional development programs and providing excellent customer service to BOMA members and customers.
This full time, exempt position reports to the Director of Education. BOMA's hybrid work environment allows employees to work from home up to 2 days per week.
Support the production of conference education sessions, including managing the Call for Presentations, working with planning committees, and managing speaker agreements and logistics
Provide order fulfillment and customer service to the local BOMA associations and other entities that license BOMA education courses
Provide timely, knowledgeable support to instructors, students and all purchasers/users of BOMA education products
Assist the Director of Education in managing the Education Committee, Medical Real Estate Committee, Industrial Real Estate Committee, BOMA Floor Measurement Standards Committee and other volunteer committees and task forces as assigned
Assist in managing revisions and the ANSI approval process for the BOMA Floor Measurement Standards
Set up monthly webinars and manage production deadlines
File applications with various industry certification providers to obtain approved provider status for BOMA education sessions and programs
Maintain the online BOMA Learning portal and education web pages, providing regular content updates
Assist the Director of Education and the Vice President of Education & Meetings with other projects and tasks as assigned
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Must have strong collaboration and project management skills with attention to detail
Must be able to travel within the United States when required for on-site management of education programs
Minimum one year of experience managing adult education/professional development programs, preferably in an association environment. Two or more years preferred (salary is commensurate with experience)
Experience working with volunteer committees, subject matter experts and instructors preferred
Experience using learning management systems, proposal submission modules, webinar platforms and CRM databases preferred
