The senior manager plays an essential role in supporting AGA-member programs. Reporting to the Vice President of Global Events, and working in partnership with the rest of the AGA team, this position is responsible for elevating and executing AGA’s events. This includes programmatic support and on-site logistics for AGA’s tradeshows Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Las Vegas, AGA’s board-level events, and other AGA committees and groups.
The ideal candidate is impeccably organized, has a keen attention to detail, and possesses superior hospitality and customer service skills.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
In-person and Virtual Member Event Development and Execution:
Owns and manages AGA and industry events calendar and works with the marketing team to keep it updated.
Drives, manages and produces AGA event portfolio including C-level retreats, Board of Director meetings, awards ceremonies, virtual summits and townhalls.
Owns event operations and logistics, in collaboration with AGA staff liaisons, for committee meetings, government relations events and PAC events.
Manages full event operation cycle including:
Invitation list and process.
Pre-event and on-site logistics.
Production schedule creation.
Program and collateral.
AGA staff support.
Internal event systems and tools.
Manages full virtual event cycle including:
Production schedule creation.
Lead content creation meetings.
Conduct speaker virtual rehearsals.
Project manage webinar collateral.
Virtual event “on-site” troubleshooting.
Leads pre-event planning meeting and post-event debrief evaluating what went well, what didn’t go well, what we’d like to add/do differently for next meeting and collecting and sharing member feedback.
Reviews and manages the development of event invitation lists, with a focus on quality over quantity; organizes the attendance of key members as appropriate.
Produces content for event communications information, including save the date, RSVP, know-before-you-go details, run of show, follow up notes, etc.
Manages RSVP lists and communicates timely updates to committee/meeting lead.
Manages event speakers pre-event and onsite, including invitation, confirmation, asset collection and on-site coordination.
Conducts site visits, negotiates contracts/rates and manages external relationships while engaging internal stakeholders for input and approvals.
Serves as AGA liaison with G2E Content Director.
Manage G2E education speakers and session logistics including:
Drive G2E event initiatives by assisting content director on creating compelling event content with top gaming track leads.
Manage speaker assets for G2E keynotes and education.
Manage G2E keynote sponsorship, strategy and event operations.
Collaborates on operations of G2E keynotes and G2E education.
Drives G2E show and staff logistics
Manage AGA Staff Breakroom, AGA Executive Office, AGA Break AGA Committee Rooms, AGA Executive Office floor plan, A/V, furniture rental and food and beverage.
Manage AGA Master Schedule.
Manage AGA Room Block.
Experience and Education:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Event certification preferred.
Minimum three years of experience leading meetings and events.
Association management and/or gaming industry experience is a plus.
Exceptional event logistics and project management.
Superior organization skills and attention to detail required.
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong project management skills and ability to juggle multiple, shifting priorities.
History of successfully managing internal and external partners, staying on time and on budget, while meeting goals.
