What You'll Do
The Internet Society Foundation is a supporting organization of the Internet Society, a US-incorporated 501(c)(3) public charity. The Vice President of Donor Contributions is employed by a charitable supporting organization to drive and elevate fundraising efforts globally on behalf of a supported charity in the USA.
The incumbent is responsible for developing the strategies and leading efforts to generate public support from a wide array of sources. The effect will be to improve the charity’s impact while ensuring broad public support as defined for US charities. The Vice President of Donor Contributions will develop a sustainable strategy to achieve ambitious fundraising targets across a 5-year horizon and lead a team to implement it, drawing on support and activities from both the supported and supporting organizations. This position has direct reports.

Your Daily Responsibilities Include
Strategy and Planning
Develop a sustainable fundraising strategy to generate a minimum of USD 10 million annual recurring public support revenue in the first year from multiple sources (organization membership fees, grants, qualifying sponsorships, and especially individual donations).
Lead a team and implement the strategy.
In cooperation with internal stakeholders, lead the development of any long-term strategy to achieve agreed long term organizational goals.
Identify new potential income streams and produce strategies to access these funds.
Fundraising
Provide leadership and influence across the supported and supporting entities to foster a culture of fundraising opportunity.
Develop annual budgets and prepare reports suitable for consumption by executive management, the boards, auditors, and the public.
Establish excellent collaborations and working relations with internal and external stakeholders.

What You Need to Get the Job Done
Professional experience
Significant experience of fundraising at a senior level and in an international setting.
Demonstrable track-record of generating income from a range of sources including individual donations, trusts and foundations, government and importantly, international private sector corporate.
The ability to develop a sustainable fundraising strategy.
The commercial acumen to manage budgets and set and meet key performance indicators.
The leadership skills to build and manage a team.
The ability to find solutions and work within organizational constraints or limitations.
