The Rainmaker Companies, LLC seeks a Member Services Coordinator (MSC) to join its Alliances team, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. The MSC is responsible for a broad range of initiatives and activities in support of the growth, retention, and delivery of value to approximately 600 members representing more than 140 professional service firms across North America. The membership of The Rainmaker Alliances is strategically segmented into six distinct communities of accounting and consulting firm practices, each focusing on a different industry or specialty area.
Primary responsibilities of the MSC include:
Onboard new members and offboard member terminations
Coordinate marketing initiatives and the team’s efforts to recruit new members
Work with the Rainmaker Alliances team and Member Planning Committees to develop annual membership calendars and oversee implementation, ensuring all initiatives are fulfilled
Plan, coordinate, and support member events, including in-person conferences, virtual roundtables, webcasts, etc.; work with outsourced event management company when applicable (typically two in-person conferences per year)
Schedule committee meetings, virtual roundtables (Zoom) and provide administrative support as needed on the calls for notetaking, capturing/communicating follow-up items, etc.
Monitor, moderate, and support online member collaboration forums (Microsoft Yammer)
Develop, distribute and/or post member newsletters, blogs, and alerts
Coordinate sponsor engagement and exposure with member events and other initiatives
Member communications – plan, prepare and send key messages to members and prospects
Maintain alliance websites and related pages on Rainmaker main website via their respective CMS platforms
Member data management – Maintain member data in the CRM system (Salesforce) and produce regular membership reports
Coordinate with financial function for member AR/AP issues
Develop materials and other communications to help promote and reinforce the value of membership – with both existing and prospective members
Coordinate with Rainmaker Training and Consulting team to ensure alignment of calendars, resources, etc. as needed
The MSC position is a role for applicants with:
BA/BS degree in marketing, communications, or related degree preferred
Experience working in professional services (accounting, legal, engineering, etc.) and/or association management is preferred
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to interact effectively with members, sponsors, prospects, teammates, and other resources
Strong organizational and execution skills with the ability to manage and communicate the status of multiple priorities
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications – especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
Experience with a variety of other software platforms used, including the following (or equivalents): Salesforce, Zoom, Adobe products (e.g., InDesign and Acrobat Pro), MailChimp, association and/or event management software
Proven experience bringing process improvement to a function or role
Project management experience
Demonstrated commitment to integrity, confidentiality, and team collaboration
Comfort and ability to work in a fully remote environment with the exception of minimal travel for various conferences, events and occasional team meetings
