The IT Infrastructure Engineer will provide and maintain technical support for data center operations including webservers, operating systems, and security devices.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
Manage Active Directory implementation supporting internal corporate users and data center operations
Lead vulnerability management program
Collaborate with Technology team to enhance system performance and troubleshoot performance irregularities
Perform regular maintenance to meet system availability requirements
Manage O365 Exchange, email filtering, and journaling systems
Manage data backup system and disaster recovery capabilities
Review AD, network, and system logs for anomalies
Maintain systems to operate in compliance with existing security policies
Participate in Configuration Control Board reviews
Review and recommend security technologies to protect company assets
After-hours support through rotating on-call coverage
This position requires the individual to be flexible in their approach to work and will require the individual to work outside of normal office hours from time to time for planned/unplanned system upgrades/fixes
Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
Education, prior work experience, and specialized skills and knowledge:
BS in Computer Science or similar is required
7 or more years IT experience is required with CISSP and/or MCSE preferred
Servers on site (Windows 2012 Server, Windows 2016 Server, Windows 2019 Server SQL Server, VMware ESX, and RHEL) general support required
Workstations on site (Windows 10 and Windows 11) general support required
O365 Exchange support and support application lifecycle management
Support for web server technologies such as IIS, Apache, or Tomcat
Must have a good understanding of security vulnerabilities including rule-based access control, ports, and protocols, and virus/malware protections
Strong experience working with virtualized IT infrastructures
Windows Cluster and MS-SQL Cluster experience a plus
Ability to adapt and work multiple issues simultaneously with the ability to meet deadlines and achieve goals
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
Proven decision-making experience with the ability to be autonomous and maintain confidentiality
