Organizational Overview
The Heart Rhythm Society (HRS) is committed to helping end heart rhythm disorders and saving lives. HRS is the international leader in science, education and advocacy for cardiac arrhythmia professionals and patients, and the primary information resource on heart rhythm disorders. HRS’s mission is to improve patient care by promoting research, education and optimal health care policies and standards. HRS represents more than 6,800 cardiac pacing and electrophysiology professionals in over 70 countries.
Position Summary
Under the direction of the IBHRE CEO, manages the day-to-day operations of IBHRE’s continuous competency program for certification, IBHRE-C3, and provides administrative support for IBHRE’s online education.
Responsibilities
Administration
- Manage IBHRE’s certification maintenance program including candidate registration, notification schedules, fees, and confirmations.
- Serve as primary point of contact for all IBHRE-C3-related operational functions including coordination with HRS staff.
- Maintain IBHRE-C3 candidate database records in management system, including online directory and certification status.
- Manage library of assessment material in learning management system, making system updates as necessary.
- Respond to inquiries and serve as the lead contact for customer service.
- Coordinate and provide content in the learning management system making updates as necessary.
- Develop and maintain C3 user instructions.
- Serve as primary contact for online education.
Management of Subject Matter Experts
- Communicate with subject matter experts and vendors.
- Serve as staff liaison to IBHRE-C3 committee, test writing committees, and other subject matter experts.
- Recruit subject matter experts as necessary.
Marketing
- In conjunction with other IBHRE staff, regularly review IBHRE’s website, draft content, and suggest updates as necessary to maintain current information.
- Maintain and report program data.
- Assist in staffing IBHRE’s exhibits including the HRS Annual Meetings.
- In collaboration with the CEO, implement marketing strategies.
- Manage exhibiting logistics.
Operational and Project Management.
- In collaboration with the CEO, manage day-to-day operations of C3 and work with temporary employees and consultants as needed.
- Monitor project budgets and recommend new tactics as necessary to reach financial goals.
- Collaborate with the HRS financial team as necessary to ensure collection of all fees and invoice payments.
- Identify and report any problems or challenges to the CEO in a timely manner; recommend corrective action plans or solutions.
- Coordinate meeting logistics (remote and face-to-face).
- In collaboration with IBHRE’s CEO, develop and maintain processes based upon accreditation standards.
- Monitor data and program feedback for quality management.
Other Roles & Responsibilities
- Serve as a staff liaison for IBHRE committees and task teams as assigned.
- Coordinate marketing strategies with HRS as necessary.
- Provide administrative support as necessary for other certification initiatives.

HRS is headquartered in Washington, DC. Remote work for this position is allowed. Currently, staff is remote due to COVID-19.

Required Education and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in certification or professional development
