Description: The American Land Title Association (ALTA), a non-partisan, national trade association representing the land title and real estate settlement industry, seeks a Data Quality Specialist. This entry-level role will be responsible for data entry tasks necessary to maintain accurate data about organizations, individuals, and transactions in the ALTA database. The Data Quality Specialist will also assist with data-related project management and other duties or projects as assigned. The ideal candidate is a precise and accurate person seeking a detail-driven job filled with a variety of responsibilities. A direct and factual communicator who enjoys a collaborative team environment with space to work independently on assigned tasks would thrive in this position.
Reports to: Director of Information Systems & Technology
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for general accuracy of constituent records, including adding records, updating records, and researching duplicates and other inaccuracies.
Run periodic reports to ensure alignment of data with data governance policies and to identify potential data update tasks.
Responsible for data entry and management for three annual processes in support of the Association’s mission and strategic priorities.
Serve as back up for Purchase Transfers and Refund Requests.
Provide quality check and assistance, as needed, for product and event setup, configuration, and testing of purchase and checkout process.
Contribute to other data projects as needs arise, partnering with various colleagues and departments.
Serves as back up for ALTA Registry Program, working with both submitters and confirmation contacts to curate data records for confirmation in the ALTA Registry.
Responsible for identifying potential data process improvements, partnering with IT Team and technical consultants.
Responsible for creating and maintaining documentation of existing and new data processes.
Other duties as assigned, including assistance to various departments during busy transaction seasons (e.g., membership renewals, meeting registrations) or in preparation for major meetings and events.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent, plus 2 years of relevant experience and/or training; or
Associate degree, plus 1 year of relevant experience and/or training; or
Bachelor’s degree, with relevant experience and/or training strongly preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
Typing speed: Minimum 40 words per minute with 90% accuracy
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Precise attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
Patience and the ability to manage stress during periods of high-volume work
Must be a citizen or legal resident of the United States, or hold a visa that permits work in the United States without being sponsored by an employer

Salary: $40,000 to $50,000 (commensurate with experience)
