· Edit, proofread, verify, and write copy and acquire and review graphics/photographs for prepress production of American Jails magazine, conference, training, and certification publications; promotional materials; AJA website postings; and general AJA correspondence. · Solicit and coordinate magazine article development with prospective authors. · Act as project manager for multi-departmental publications (facilitate the review process, establish version control, timelines, deadlines, vendor prepress coordination, etc.). · Coordinate with outside editorial assistance providers when required. · Ghost-write speeches, columns and articles when required. · Create an annual editorial theme calendar for the magazine. · Update and maintain AJA Style Guide. · Work with external graphic designe
