Job Summary:
The Membership, Marketing and Communications Coordinator’s major responsibility is to support IECA’s member, chapter and field programs. This position is the front-line representative for IECA members. Additionally, this role manages chapter compliance and supports chapter regional events. It processes all membership payments, updates IECA.org to reflect accurate information, keeps IECA’s member database up-to-date and administers chapter programs and reporting.
MEMBERSHIP AND DATABASE
- Update IECA’s member database and assure data integrity to maintain accurate and non-duplicative entries.
- Process membership payments for both new members and renewing members.
- Run daily reports and process batches to ensure database accuracy.
- Deliver membership information as appropriate and necessary including welcome emails, receipts, and other information.
- Manage member renewal process, including mailed and emailed renewal notices, and notifying soon-to-expire and lapsed members via email.
- Manage membership projects as directed.
- Keeps IECA.ORG up to date including, but not limited to – updating member types, updating event information, auditing the website to remove old information, updating IECA partners and other tasks as assigned.
- Coordinates the IECA Chapter Performance Awards program.
- Manage the IECA’s Membership Booth and assist at registration desk for IECA Annual Conference & Expo.
IECA CHAPTERS
- Serve as customer service liaison between Chapter leadership and staff to assist in building and sustaining highly functional chapters and productive relationships between IECA national and Chapters.
- Coordinate and track annual chapter reporting, including officer rosters, financial and activity reports, and 990s.
- Manage quarterly Chapter dues payment processing.
- Coordinate communications to and from Chapters to keep leaders informed and engaged in IECA’s strategic efforts and to support their growth.
- Professionally represent IECA at Chapter meetings as needed, IECA’s Annual Conference and other industry events.
- Manage the chapter partnership and event production for IECA regional roadshow events with the support of Managing Director.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
- Acts as the first point of contact for incoming calls and inquiry emails to informational inboxes. Direct calls and emails to the appropriate staff member as needed.
- Support IECA events team as needed with events registration and attendee support.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong communication skills required including ability to professional communicate in written and spoken word.
- Strong attention to detail is required.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite required.
- Basic HTML coding experience or willingness to learn is required.
- Experience with member/donor databases is preferred.
- A timely response to inquiries and requests for service or products is required.
- Well-developed customer service and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with people, solve problems and negotiate compromise, are necessary.
- Ability to follow directions and adapt to changing circumstances is key.
- Must be able to process financial transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
- Must be able to work and contribute well in a dynamic small-team environment.
- Must be able to meet deadlines for projects and be a self-starter.
- Willingness to learn new skills is a must!
Credentials and Experience:
A minimum of a 4-year college degree is preferred. Two years membership/customer service experience preferred.

Special Requirements:
Some travel is required primarily to assist with Annual Conference and Chapter events.
