The grants management specialist aids the organization in the administration of all aspects of the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s (CVSA) commercial motor vehicle (CMV) cooperative agreements, contracts, and grants. This position is responsible for overseeing the life cycle of all federal awards, such as, coordinating all elements associated with the annual development and submission of applications for federal funding, monitoring activities by tracking deliverables, developing, and submitting modifications as necessary, reviewing and submitting reimbursements, coordinating the development of progress reports, as required, and processing closeout related activities for all federal awards.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience
A certified Grants Management Specialist (CGMS) preferred
A certified Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
Five years’ experience handling responsibilities comparable to those outlined above
Available for national and international travel
Program and project management experience, including planning, organizing, communicating, and implementing results
The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) is a nonprofit association comprised of local, state, provincial, territorial and federal commercial motor vehicle safety officials and industry representatives. The Alliance aims to achieve uniformity, compatibility and reciprocity of commercial motor vehicle inspections and enforcement by certified inspectors dedicated to driver and vehicle safety. Our mission is to improve commercial motor vehicle safety and uniformity throughout Canada, Mexico and the United States by providing guidance and education to enforcement, industry and policy makers.
