What you'll do:
Assist Senior Manager of Media Relations and Assistant Director of Public Information and Media Relations in planning and execution of the RSNA journals press release program
Manage web content on Media page
Work in the Newsroom at the RSNA annual meeting, assisting media, conducting presenter interviews and coordinating media events
Assist Senior Manager with media registration for the annual meeting
Assist in scientific abstract review process for annual meeting
Work closely with members of the Public Information Advisors Network (PIAN)
Manage tracking and reporting of media coverage
Research and write scientific and non-scientific press releases and assist in distribution
Edits images and video
What you'll need:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism or a related field preferred, and/or
3-5 years of experience in public/media relations or related field
Experience in all aspects of public relations, including developing and writing press releases and related materials
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in project management, from concept to execution
Ability to manage multiple projects
Strong editing and proofreading skills
Attention to details and deadlines
Ability to direct projects and coordinate deadlines with outside contractors
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop; experience with video production/editing and Cision and Critical Mention media monitoring tools a plus
