The Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) is the premier association for CPAs in Pennsylvania with more than 20,000 members working in public accounting, private industry, non-for-profit, government, and education. The PICPA is seeking a Member Connections Administrator to plan and execute excellent local and statewide relationship-focused content, including, but not limited to: gathering information, facilitating committee meetings, hosting round tables, recruiting relevant industry speakers, conducting content calls with speakers, attending events, and supporting the production of high-quality experiences.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and collaborator responsible for cultivating strong relationships with volunteers on multiple state and local thought leadership committees to develop programming and content that supports PICPA’s strategic plan and metrics. Individual will attend in-person peer-to-peer events to foster relationships and build connections with local and state-wide members.
This position will be responsible for:
Committee Administration: Create and maintain a consistent calendar of committee and chair meetings throughout the year. Work with committee chairs to write compelling agendas based on established objectives, analysis of industry research and knowledge of continuing professional education standards, that meet the needs of the target audience and drive attendance.
Research: Explore and collect background information for Local Connection Committees and each Statewide Professional Thought Leadership Committee, utilizing various methodologies and professional sources (including competitive or similar industry events, interviews with subject matter experts, trade publications, etc.) in order to gain an understating and pitch ideas for the learning objectives, content and event programming
Content Creation: Serve as liaison to the Statewide Professional Thought Leadership Committees. Schedule & facilitate in-depth planning and brainstorming meetings with Thought Leadership committee members and identify current industry trends and challenges to develop quality, relevant content and programming. Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to establish the topics and content.
Recruitment: Recruit, identify and develop innovative strategies to fill pipelines for local and Statewide Professional Thought Leadership Committee volunteers. Identify gaps in member services and benefits for all PICPA member segments, establish solutions, and plan for marketing and implementation. Synthesize and present data effectively to internal and external entities to influence and guide decision making.
Marketing: Clearly communicate vision and strategy to Member Experience team for implementation and evaluation and in turn to Marketing and Communications for appropriate messaging, and promotional materials, to reflect key selling points.
2+ years of relationship management experience is necessary to successfully navigate all aspects of this role.
At least 3 years of association management experience, including knowledge and experience curating volunteer experiences.
High degree of emotional intelligence with proven ability to build and sustain relationships and make a positive connection with others.
Experience using data analytics to drive decisions.
Strong interpersonal and communications skills – volunteer management, conflict management, professional communications, cross-team collaboration.
Experience in leading projects, meetings, and working in team environment
Excellent organizational skills and ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment
Ability to work in a team environment to drive outcomes.
Ability to quickly and effectively adapt.
Knowledge and proficiency in current Windows operating systems, current Microsoft Office products, and general knowledge of customer database applications.
Position requires travel within Pennsylvania (minimum 15%).
Position located in Pennsylvania and not eligible for fully remote work. Partial telecommuting schedules are available.
