Primary Responsibilities: Development (50%) • Provide database support including updating donor information and running standard reports • Manage gift acknowledgements, in-kind donation requests update donor records as needed • Manage mailings/appeals to donors, patrons and other stakeholders • Assist in conducting donor and prospect research • Coordinate materials for Annual Report • Tracking memorial donations within eTapestry, managing acknowledgement letter process and alerting families of gifts received • Manage uploads to database from RunSignUp for large, national fundraising event. Support event needs as needed. • Pulling bi-monthly reports from Facebook to evaluate all donations received through the site, flagging any large donors/gifts and soft crediting accounts or allocating funds to appropriate person / fundraiser. • Manage third party fundraising inquiries and opportunities, assist in coordinating of events if necessary, track event donations and create event performance reports • Research and support Foundation technology solutions as required to support mobile giving, peer-to-peer giving, event platforms, etc. • Assist in assembling of LOIs and proposals for major donors • Perform development-related customer service, manage and expand matching gift programs, as well as directed/targeted research for external fundraising and partner opportunities Finance and Operations (50%) • Support department reporting, reconciliation and budgeting activities • Assist in creation of monthly and quarterly finance reports • Prepare materials for Finance Committee and Development Committee meetings • General support to administrative staff as needed • Communicate with the Finance Department regarding the preparation of grant invoices to ensure payments for funded programs/projects are received and follow up as necessary to track status
Minimum 3 years work experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred • Practical experience in administrative support; nonprofit experience a plus • Experience with CRM database management; eTapestry knowledge a plus • Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication, and presentation skills • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects, often with deadline pressures • Team-player with high level of initiative, professionalism and confidentiality • Ability to work evenings as meetings require • Excellent computer skills; extremely proficient in Microsoft Office applications • Strong customer service orientation, with proven relationship-building skills • Superb attention to detail and accuracy • Cultural competency to work with patients, donors, volunteer leaders, individuals and groups from diverse racial, religious, ethnic, educational, ability, and socioeconomic backgrounds, as well as members of the LGBTQ and gender non-conforming communities
