ASME has an exciting opportunity for a high energy and creative Marketing Specialist, Sponsor Activation to join our Marketing team.
The Marketing Specialist, Sponsor Activation is a critical role within the team and responsible for supporting our sales efforts by generating sponsor demand for an integrated portfolio of events, webinars, and related media products, including field marketing, sponsor lead generation, and sales enablement. In addition, this role will be responsible for delivering on sponsor program commitments by promoting sponsor programs to our audience. Our ideal candidate is a passionate customer advocate who can work collaboratively with our sales team to acquire and retain sponsors and to ensure our sponsors’ success.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Drive demand for sponsorships across a portfolio of marketing solutions, including events, sponsored content, webinars, newsletters, digital, and other opportunities. Responsibilities include sponsor awareness and lead generation campaigns.
•Develop sponsorship sales collateral and sales support materials (e.g., presentations, opportunity kits, sell sheets, etc.).
•Maintain a sponsor retention communication program to keep current and past sponsors informed of new opportunities, recent highlights, and upcoming events with the intent to upsell, increase wallet share.
•Manage promotion of sponsor program elements to internal marketing databases and via owned media properties to achieve sponsor expectations and fulfill guarantees against a set promotional schedule.
•Write, format, and manage fulfillment of e-mail campaigns in support of sponsor programs, including distribution tools and analytics (monitoring click through rates, etc.).
•Work with the social media team to generate engagement with sponsors across all social platforms.
•Produce webinars as needed to support volume and schedule.
•Monitor campaign delivery and provide reporting on sponsor media activities, including individual sponsor reporting.
•Collaborate with sales and customer success team members to ensure sponsors receive a superior level of customer service.
This position requires a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three years relevant professional experience preferably with events, content marketing, and/or digital advertising in a for-profit events or media company. Successful candidates will have proven experience executing sales enablement and demand generation for a sales organization, preferably in B2B media or marketing services.
The ideal candidate will present other important qualifications and competencies such as:
•Communication -- Exceptional verbal and written skills are required.
•Project Management — Strong project management skills with the ability to concurrently manage multiple work streams and overlapping deadlines is required. Attention to detail and the ability to remain organized are essential.
•Collaboration -- Collaboration across a broad range of ASME staff will be critical in this role.
•Technical Skills -- Knowledge of SEO/SEM and Google Analytics and ability to translate data to performance. Experience with enterprise level marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, webinar platforms, ESPs, and content management systems – Hubspot preferred.
