The Senior Manager, Partner Relations helps maintain and curate new partnership relationships, contracts and deliverables associated with all NACD partners. The focus of the Senior Manager, Partner Relations is on new corporate advertising and contracts, with additional focus on sales for the annual awards gala(s), using those relationships to potentially open the door to ongoing relationships.
Develops corporate advertising opportunities.
Develops initiative-specific partnership plans for new and emerging content opportunities, such as NACD’s climate initiative.
Develops and sells the programs for NACD’s annual awards gala(s).
Support and be responsible for select non-corporate (regular partner) duties, which may include partnerships that develop from the sales activities of NACD’s annual awards gala(s).
Drives high-quality, strategic engagement with contracted partners’ senior leaders.
Working in close partnership with the NACD Content team, ensures all partner contracts align with NACD’s long-term strategy, innovating on the types of partners and thrust of partner engagements to enhance alignment.
Initiates recurring development meetings with partners and prospects.
Fully responsible for the monitoring and implementation of partner deliverables.
Fully develops detailed work plans (SOPs) for programs requiring cross-functional or chapter support.
Collaboratively works with internal and external stakeholders to identify and develop new opportunities that reinforce NACD’s vision, mission, strategy and revenue goals.
Assists NACD’s Content team in the development of and execution of select events.
Gathers and reports on appropriate operational metrics.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Senior Director, Partner Relations.
Bachelor’s degree and 7-10 years of sales leadership and client relations experience required. Must have strong interpersonal (internal and external) and negotiation skills and strong attention to detail. Must have broad knowledge of and experience in sales planning, media, client relations, and direct high level sales with marketing managers and CMOs to the President/CEO level. Proven ability to drive new revenue streams as a self-starter. Must have outstanding oral and written communication skills and be highly organized. Must have high proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
