Position Overview: The Sr. Manager Member Services plays an integral role in leading the association’s efforts to onboard and engage new members and fulfill on partner activities. Reporting to the Director, Member Relations, this position works to build a diverse, active membership and broadens AGA’s revenue through the fulfillment of commitments on partners and other non-member revenue-producing relationships. In addition, the Sr. Manager provides support to AGA’s Global Gaming Expo (G2E) and other key events.
The ideal candidate possesses a substantial background in association membership activities including tradeshows, has a track record of revenue growth, is proficient at creating processes that deliver against commitments, can create and manage new products and processes and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key areas of responsibility:
Membership Development and Onboarding
Manage initial AGA member engagement to develop a long-term member relationship.
Work in coordination with AGA’s member and partner development lead to seamlessly transition new member relationships, understand prospect pipeline and timelines, and deliver a first-class experience for new members.
Develop and execute year-long engagement plans to ensure new members are renewed at a high percentage.
Identify opportunities to leverage the Senior Leadership Team, including the CEO, effectively throughout member development and onboarding process.
Support the identification of new verticals and opportunities to drive membership as the industry continues to evolve and modernize.
Develop processes to ensure that new members are engaged, and risks are identified.
Ensure new members take advantage of benefits associated with their membership including attendance at AGA member-only meetings, AGA summits, G2E and other key member engagements.
Manage day-to-day responsibilities for AGA ally members including member engagement, fulfillment of opportunities at events including G2E and other AGA member events and manage dues invoicing/collections process.
Work in collaboration with the SVP, Strategy and Operations to identify opportunities to engage ally members as potential partners.
Engagement and Fulfillment
AGA seeks to leverage endemic and non-endemic relationships to drive member value, secure financial and other economic resources and apply them to AGA member priorities. The Sr. Manager performs the following roles:
Support the development and execution of business processes (program development, collateral, activation, fulfillment, tracking, reporting and research).
Management of fulfillment tracking with a focus on developing processes and procedures for tracking internal fulfillment responsibilities.
Improve internal and external communication to ensure alignment on all commitments, effective utilization of all assets and exploration of new growth opportunities.
Collaborate with AGA departments to drive fulfillment and retention.
Liaise with non-endemic relationships to solve issues, communicate needs and maintain alignment.
Ensure activation and delivery of commitments to partners.
Champion and manage new projects to grow stronger partnerships.
Analyze and report on partner initiatives and report on key metrics.
Support marketing/communications efforts to increase awareness and engagement of current and potential members and constituents.
Contribute regular updates relating to membership with AGA leadership and broader staff.
Identify new benefit opportunities and ideas to improve engagement through discussions with current and potential members.
Identify and pursue bold new service offerings with a proven case for creating member value.
Data & Finance Management
Manage initial member onboarding process including populating contact forms and applications, disseminating new member contact information and entering contacts into database.
Work closely with Sr. Director of Finance to design and align on a process to ensure revenue targets are on track or adjusted as needed, and that collections are made accordingly.
Work closely with AGA VP, Global Events to track and record member investment at G2E year over year.
Ensure that AGA member records within the association management system (AMS) are accurate.
Support the AGA Events team on events including registration, tracking attendance, inputting data into the AGA AMS, market member attendance at key AGA events including G2E, and other opportunities as needed for on-site and virtual meetings.
Assistance at AGA on-site events including G2E with a focus on providing member engagement and value.
Experience & Education:
Bachelor’s Degree required.
At least 4 years of experience with a history of progressive achievement and advancement in an association environment.
A history of growing revenues in the areas of events, partnership/sponsorship, membership and other related programs and services.
Familiarity and experience with the functioning of tradeshows and other Association events.
Demonstrated excellence and ease with all aspects of executing a “go-to market” business plan.
