The Health Industry Distributors Association (HIDA), an Old Town Alexandria trade association representing healthcare product suppliers, is seeking a Senior Manager, Conferences. This position will play an integral role in planning and delivering educational and networking experiences of the highest caliber, both in-person and virtually. This role works closely with the Director in achieving event, sponsorship, exhibit and advertising and corporate partner program revenue goals. This position serves as a liaison with prospects, members, sponsors, exhibitors, advertisers, service contractors, hotels and vendors. This position reports to the Director, Conferences and Sponsorship Sales.

Proactively manage event planning including logistical and project management details for in-person and virtual events.
Contribute to all aspects of live and virtual conference production including set up, registration, member questions, floorplans, schedules and pricing.
Works closely with the Director, Conferences and Sponsorship Sales to coordinate budgetary, marketing, and logistical requirements for events.
Maintain knowledge of conference timelines, deliverables and deadlines.
Works with the Director, Conferences & Sponsorship Sales in implementing revenue generation strategies.
Support the retention of revenue generated from registrations, exhibits, sponsorships, advertising and corporate partners through customer service and follow up.
Participate as a member of the internal team that develops prospect and member drip campaigns with a focus on positive client relationships.
Engage in social media campaigns and email marketing to promote event participation.
Secure new revenue for the association through marketing, email, and follow up with prospects.
Manage revenue targets and provide timely sales and budget reporting to supervisor.
Research, qualify and maintain a list of potential targeted companies for pipeline of prospects for conferences by identifying decision makers and influencers in the companies.
Serve as backup for departmental administrative responsibilities.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed and meet the amount of education, training and/or work experience required.
Seven or more years of work experience in sales, conference management, marketing, or administration. Experience in an association or non-profit preferred.
Bachelor’s degree required.

Travel 3-5 times per year.
