Roles & Responsibilities
The VP Operations & Strategy is a critical part of the EWF executive leadership team, reporting to the CEO. The position includes being responsible for developing and articulating strategy, providing oversight and daily management of the EWF, and driving and supporting the overall attainment, engagement, and satisfaction of current and future EWF Members, Corporate Benefact, and Sponsors.
The EWF VP Operations & Strategy needs to be a profoundly experienced and credible leader, influencer, innovator, and collaborator who can drive alignment, results, and systemic change in our mission-driven organization. Experience in a member-driven organization is preferred. This leader will bring inspiration, energy, transparency, and a "servant leader" approach as they work with the EWF team to create and advance the EWF's strategic growth, impact, and success.
Management & Operations
Manages the day-to-day operations of a staff of 6 and oversees the planning, managing, and delivering of virtual, live, and hybrid conferences, regional meetings, and other EWF programs and events.
Obtains maximum utilization of staff by establishing performance standards and conducting performance reviews.
Creates financial plans and operational budgets to drive top-line and bottom-line growth of memberships and sponsorships.
.Establishes a sound organization structure for the communication of information, program updates, and adherence to timelines and goals between Marketing, Member Engagement, Conference Management, Leadership Development, Advisory Board, and CEO.
Works with team to plan, organize and direct membership promotion and sponsorship acquisition and retention programs, evaluate results, and recommend policies, procedures, and actions to achieve membership and growth goals.
Works closely with CEO to manage and engage the Advisory Board and support committees.
Serves as a credible and compelling spokesperson before the media, current and prospective members, Ambassadors, Champions, and advocacy organizations.
In partnership with the CEO, executive team, and Advisory Board, develops short- and long-term strategies for the organization's growth globally.
Utilizes business and data analytics, market research, and surveys to understand member and sponsor needs and perform competitive analysis.
Develops, implements, and oversees new Committees and working groups to enhance and showcase the thought leadership of the EWF and its members.
Delegates strategic objectives to the whole team with clear and explicit intent and calls upon team members to contribute to the best of their ability; focuses on the team's growth and development as a group and as individuals.
Coordinates marketing and communication strategies and initiatives
Researches and advises on potential alliances and acquisitions.
Qualifications and Competencies:
A successful candidate has an entrepreneurial mindset and is a mission-driven, visionary leader able to develop and turn strategy into action.
Ability to manage and support day-to-day operations, establish, and maintain cooperative relationships with partners, and influence direct and indirect reports.
Strong analytic and organizational skills and financial acumen, including creating and managing budgets and forecasts
Has held direct accountability for driving the success, growth, and financial sustainability of an organization
Experience driving substantial revenue growth through corporate sponsorship and membership business models.
Proven experience in prioritizing and managing simultaneous projects and delivering on deadlines.
Must have a track record of building effective relationships with people of influence and willing to be hands-on in developing and expanding organizational capacities and services.
Possess strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills and demonstrate passion and purpose in ways that enlist others and create followership.
Minimum of 10-15 years of professional business or association management experience managing the day to day operations
Technology, cybersecurity, risk, or privacy-related industry experience a plus.
Passion for the Advancement of Women and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Ability to further the EWF's mission to engage, develop and advance women leaders.
Ability to deliver measurable results and business impact to our Corporate Benefactors and Sponsors from successfully partnering with the EWF as part of their broader organizational strategy.
Collaborates with the Director of Diversity Inclusion and Membership Engagement to develop and execute external events and practices that honor our diversity equity and inclusion mission and reflect EWF's values and culture
This is a fully remote position.
