What you'll do: - Collaborate to establish the Customer Engagement Department. Evaluate departmental needs and recommend any necessary adjustments to scope or resources required for optimal effectiveness
- Develop, implement, manage and evaluate RSNA's customer engagement strategy. Continually seek innovative ways to create and deliver value to customer segments to drive engagement and revenue
- Identify, analyze and prioritize opportunities to create customer and member value, increasing engagement and revenue from identified customer segments. Annually develop plans, set goals and lead cross-functional effort toward goal achievement. Develop and monitor financial impact and other performance metrics to assess success and adapt strategy as needed
- Responsible for organizational strategy for member recruitment and retention, including but not limited to development of onboarding programs and outreach initiatives. Work with marketing and membership departments for recruitment and retention planning, implementation and evaluation
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration and engage stakeholders as appropriate for research, planning and implementation of engagement strategy
- Support organizational data collection and data maintenance strategies to improve RSNA's ability to communicate its value proposition and to accurately reach and target audiences with relevant offerings that drive engagement and increase revenue
- Oversee hiring, training, management and development of staff
- Develop department structures, procedures, and schedules
- Develop annual departmental budget. Responsible for monitoring and adhering to budgets throughout the year. Oversee review of bids and contracts for vendor services as appropriate
What you'll need: - 7+ years of relevant experience (marketing, customer engagement, business development or membership), preferably in a medical association or healthcare organization
- Proven track record of developing and implementing revenue-generating strategies
- Excellent interpersonal skills; interacts effectively, professionally, and diplomatically with individuals at all levels, including volunteers and staff
- Ability to lead staff and cross-functional teams toward goal accomplishment
- Strong analytical, management, communication, decision-making, planning and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Ability and willingness to travel occasionally
