We are hiring a Credentialing Manager to join our team of some of the most talented stars within the association and credentialing community and help us make the world a better place by raising the standard of standard-setting programs.
At RETA, our mission is to enhance the professional development of industrial refrigeration operating and technical engineers. As a 501(c)6 trades association that specializes in Industrial Refrigeration education and certification programs, we develop and provide comprehensive management of refrigeration certification and ANAB accreditation programs for our association and Industry.
The objective of this position is to ensure the success and value of the credentialing process and outstanding customer satisfaction with credentialing transactions between RETA’s client’s potential applicants, candidates, certification holders, volunteer leaders, and all other customers—thereby ensuring the sustainable growth and advancement of the mission of RETA’s credentialing programs.
The Credentialing manager is responsible for, and exercises discretion and independent judgment related to, the management and general business operations of RETA credentialing programs, including:
Operational implementation of initial credentialing processes including applications, assessments, approved provider programs, and institutional alliance programs.
Operational implementation of recredentialing (recertification, reaccreditation, renewal, maintenance of certification, etc.) processes.
Developing and periodically updating applicant guides, preparatory resources and training sessions, application forms, content for webpages, certificate templates, and other documents and processes related to credentialing.
Initial credentialing and recredentialing application processing, including data entry, payment processing, eligibility analysis, recredentialing standards compliance analysis, verification, and candidate status notification.
Credentialing assessment administration, including exam and appraisal scheduling, materials fulfillment, support, proctoring, grading, disability accommodations, assessment results notification, and recognition item fulfillment.
Exam surveillance / ethics / professionalism programs and complaint resolution.
Milestone and other recognition programs to incentivize certification holders to renew their credentials and increase our recredentialing rates.
Timely, helpful, accurate, engaging, and highly professional communications related to credentialing with—and responses to—RETA clients and their credentialing program potential and actual customers, volunteer leaders, and other stakeholders.
Email, telephone, hardcopy letters, Faxes, online communities and other social media, websites, and other communications methods.
Onsite support of RETA certification meetings, exam administrations, training events, and conferences.
Accurately interacting with (looking up, scanning, entering, editing, and updating) data across multiple platforms and formats, including RETA’s (RCD) Refrigeration Certification Data base/ Relationship Management / Association Management Systems / Certification Management Systems (CRM/AMS/CMS), digital document storage systems, spreadsheets, contact records, our test delivery partner’s exam scheduling and results reporting systems, etc.
Marketing and engagement communications with potential RETA members and non-members as they progress through the credentialing lifecycle.
Representing RETA members and our clients in a consistently professional manner at in-person and virtual meetings and events, and through written and verbal communications.
Documenting and continually updating current policies and procedures.
Identifying policy and procedure gaps, inefficiencies, resource needs, and bottlenecks, and recommending appropriate improvements.
Preparing for and supporting onsite accreditation assessments, ANSI auditors, visits, working closely with RETA Psychometrician etc.
Contributing ideas and working collaboratively with all RETA staff, volunteer leaders, partner organizations, and vendors to advance RETA’s mission.
Our Credentialing Manager reports to our Senior Director of Operations and Executive Director. This is an Exempt position and is subject to at-will employment.
Like all our staff team, the successful candidate for this position will work at our Headquarters office in Albany Oregon, with occasional travel to RETA meetings around the world.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree
At least three years of experience in credentialing (certification, accreditation, or licensure) program operations. This can be at a: Not-for-profit certification board, membership association, professional society, trade association, or educational institution; association management company (AMC) or other for-profit corporation; or government regulatory agency.

Preferred
At least three years of experience working for a credentialing program or organization that was (at the time) accredited to the relevant standard (NCCA, ANSI/ISO/IEC 17024, etc.).
ICE Credentialing Specialist certificate (must be earned within first year of employment if not possessed at the time of hire).
