The National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) is a nationally recognized professional certification organization. NICET offers more than a dozen specialty certifications in the fields of Fire Protection, Transportation, Construction Materials Testing and more. The career track certification provides credentialing for entry to senior level technicians and is measure of qualifications relied on by authorities having jurisdiction, government entities, employers and contract specifiers.

JOB PROCESSES
Process certification and recertification documents for approved candidates - generating approval letters/wallet cards, certificates, and demographic updates.
Assist in maintaining documents, certification and recertification activity status and tracking devices and reports. File, locate, retrieve, and process candidate documents.
Provide customer service via phone calls, written correspondence, and email requests, ensuring courteous and professional responses within designated timeframe. Request types include but are not limited to billing and payment questions, product selection, certification sales, regulatory requirements, conditions of employment, new customer registration, online portal access, test scheduling and rescheduling, experience documentation best practices, continuing professional development, and work flow status.
Process department mail, including organizing and processing written, and electronic documentation received from and provided to candidates relative to their evaluation, certification, and recertification status.
Process and/or proof outgoing departmental correspondence.
Assist with the verification of various bank transactions including lockboxes and credit cards, and the maintenance of respective departmental fiscal records.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Associates degree in a business administration, management, accounting, or a related field is preferred, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Experienced in general office administration, basic accounting and data management, and customer service. Demonstrable command of the English language (written and oral). Demonstrable proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Organizational skills to effectively manage time, workflow, and workspace to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks. Must be able to efficiently handle customers’ files, accurately enter and track associated data, and identify and process associated business communications and documents.
Interpersonal and customer service skills to interact diplomatically and professionally with NICET customers, coworkers, vendors, and members of the general public; effectively handling telephone, email and database message inquiries from a variety of personalities with tact, sensitivity and courtesy.
Proven ability to work independently and as a member of standing and/or ad hoc teams, interacting diplomatically and professionally with co-workers to accomplish NICET goals and objectives.
Proficient computer software skills, including email, word-processing, database, internet, document imaging, and ability to use common business equipment to complete daily tasks.
Effective management of projects to meet fixed deadlines.
Ability to implement and maintain quality control measures.
Ability to skillfully and effectively market NICET programs.
