Primary Purpose: Reporting to the vice president of learning and development, the learning and development manager is responsible for managing all educational offerings of the Society.
Duties and responsibilities:
Responsible for managing all learning programs including live courses and conferences and online learning on the MSCPA website, including programs that are produced by the MSCPA and third party vendors.
Plans educational conferences. Includes but not limited to managing budgets, selecting, coordinating or contracting with vendors and speakers, working with a committee of volunteers and setting agendas
Sets strategy related to online learning programs, including bundles and passes.
Collaboration with the Events Director to create cohesion with live and simulcast events.
Develops, tests, delivers and evaluates all online learning programs; including MSCPA and vendor produced content
Builds and manages relationships with all learning vendors
Explores and evaluates potential new vendors and online educators
Provides customer support related to both in person and online delivery
Minimum of five years experience
Experience working in a CPA firm a plus `
Experience planning educational events
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to develop, plan and implement short and long range goals
Strong analytical and planning skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database skill
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
Sitting for long periods, typing and writing
Some light lifting/standing may be required at Society events and programs
