The International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC), an international professional association headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina seeks a dynamic Director of Education to join our team! The ideal candidate is a self-motivated leader with the ability to multi-task, work independently, and with a team. Exceptional attention to detail and first-class organizational skills are mandatory. This dynamic position will work in a team environment to produce education for building enclosure professionals.
Oversee the development, implementation, and administration of all IIBEC educational programs and services
Perform quality review to ensure quality of educational programs
Develop new and maintain existing classroom, e-learning platforms, contracted courses and additional products and services to address educational needs of membership and industry
Develop and maintain systems and processes (instructions, forms, reports) to support existing educational opportunities
Provide staff support to the IIBEC Education Committee as well as other committees and task forces that may be assigned
Develop and maintain a roster of approved volunteer Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to serve as instructors and facilitators who have completed a train-the-trainer program for IIBEC educational programs
Develop and oversee an annual operating budget for the Educational Services department and monitor income and expenses on a monthly basis
Attend and provide assistance to various IIBEC events including an annual convention/trade show and topic specific symposia as required
Develop and maintain partnerships and alliances with industry organizations such as the American Society of Civil Engineering, American Institute of Architects, ASTM International, International Code Council, National Institute of Building Sciences and other organizations to promote IIBEC’s strategic initiatives
Develop and maintain a 12-18 month schedule for the delivery of educational programs and coordinate with appropriate staff
Build and maintain relationships with training development and delivery partners
Leverage the expertise of industry and subject matter experts to determine industry-wide priorities for education and training
Collaborate with industry peers for additional revenue generating opportunities
Maintain and increase participation in all educational training and platforms
Collaborate with the marketing and sales departments to promote all educational opportunities

Qualified candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree, plus four to six years of educational experience in curriculum design, instruction and working with subject matter experts
High level of energy to work in fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
Strong project management and organizational skills
Exceptional oral and written communication abilities, as well as ability to influence and negotiate
Experience in the architecture, engineering or construction industry, specifically building enclosure industry (roofing, waterproofing and exterior walls) or association experience a plus
Proficiency with e-learning platforms, Microsoft Office suite, Photoshop, InDesign, and databases
Experience in forecasting and budgeting
Experience with website content management systems a plus
Ability to travel occasionally for business
