The Vice President, Affiliate Sales and Sponsorship will be responsible for securing vendor/corporate sponsorships, exhibit/advertising sales and partnerships, enhancing ACEC’s relationship with vendor Affiliate members and generating new non-dues revenue throughout the association. The position plays a key role in managing and creating important relationships for ACEC as non-dues revenue and vendor/Affiliate member engagement represents an important part of ACEC’s operating revenues.
Strategically develop and maintain high level vendor sponsorships and partnerships, including exhibit and advertising opportunities at ACEC events and in ACEC publications
Work with Senior Vice President, Meetings, Exhibits and Awards to set quarterly and year-end revenue goals and establish a plan to strategically and proactively achieve the revenue goals
Manage and increase level of participation and revenue generation for all existing Affiliate members and industry partners
Identify and aggressively expand new corporate partnerships and non-dues revenue.
Create persuasive proposals with appropriate benefits packages for new and renewed sponsorships/partnerships
Work with senior management and department members to identify and frame opportunities within ACEC’s priority initiatives
Provide leadership in developing and implementing a recognition and stewardship program, including negotiation, closing and stewardship of sponsorship agreements
Work to engage all staff members and volunteer leadership of the organization in executing all aspects of organization’s sponsorship plan, to include exhibit and advertising goals
Development and delivery of marketing and communication materials regarding sponsorships.
On-going sponsor account management and new sponsor solicitation throughout the year
Development of sponsor outreach/marketing plan; including proposals, presentations and cover letters.
Working with other departments to represent the interests of sponsors
This is a senior-level sales position and qualified candidates should have 10+ years of sales experience and relationship management with superior communication and writing skills along with a high level of personal motivation and creativity. Desired applicant will have a proven record of success with sponsorship, exhibit and advertising sales and the ability to manage relationships with integrity and transparency. Sales experience in the A/E/C field a strong plus. A strong knowledge of business etiquette, how to craft sales presentations and other promotional materials is essential. Successful applicants must be team oriented, can build strong relationships internally and externally and be able to articulate ACEC’s value proposition. Bachelor’s degree and proficiency in Sales Force software required.
